First off, don't use the factory bumper for towing. I know of many guy's that did, with terrible result's. A Reese hitch is much safer.
The towing capacity of the 4.9 inline six is actually better than a 302. More torque.
You can count the number of rear leaf spring's and contact you local dealer with this info. He can then tell you the towing capacity.
