Its not the fuel injectors or the engine as far as I can tell, as the noise is not synchronised with either of them, and its there when driving or idling.

Cheech - did you get an update on this? I've still got a ticking sound when the engine's loaded, I've never had a Barra before and am not sure if it's a normal sound or not. It sounds a bit like valve-noise when low on oil. If anyone with more Barra experience has an answer that'd be great.
