Never buy extras from the dealer with the new car. The mark up is huge. They do very nicely from headlight and bonnet protectors etc that you can get at K-mart for an awful lot less. Same often applies to things like paint and fabric protection etc if its bought throught the dealer instead of direct from a supplier.
