Re: taurus owners tell there horror be honest
If you haven't noticed, all of the stuff that Jfargus is saying is going wrong is at high mileage, when stuff usually starts going wrong with any 5 year old car!!! By the way Jfargus, I am an ASE certified technician at a "5 Star" Dodge dealer and if you hate Fords so much, wait to you get a Dodge. Although the quality of our vehicles is better than years past, there are still numerous problems with our vehicles. Want the equivilant of a Taurus, than that would be a Stratus or the discontinued Intrepid. Both of these cars have even worse problems with front brakes. The rotors either warp or rot out. How about the transmission solenoid switch valve issue on both of these cars. How about the delayed engagement issue going into gear on a cold start, which the fix is to remove the transmission and replace the front pump. How about the shrinking door opening body weatherstrips on the Intrepid. How about the water leaks on the Intrepid. How about neglecting your oil changes on your Stratus or Intrepid with a 2.7L V6 and having your engine blow up at 28000 mi.. Need I say more... By the way, have you ever changed your transmission fluid on your Taurus Jfargus??? A note about Police Package Intrepids, they have problems with the brake fluid overheating from severe use and causing an underhood fire.
