Re: Anything new of Cruise Control recall fix?

Thanks for the responses, I have received nothing except a "come see us for
service" solicitation, so I know they still have my address ;).

I am really surprised Ford hasn't redesigned the switch to move off the
master cylinder to perhaps the brake light switch or something that will not
start fires.

If the fires are being started by fluid getting on the wires, which are
above the cylinder, I am fine also. I just assumed the switch itself was
getting hot and creating the fires, maybe I misunderstood. I guess one
large thing to think about would be, that IF the thing caught fire, I
suppose insurance might not pay since a notification had been made. So I
have mine disconnected--easy to do.
