Sounds about right if all they have to do is prep paint and buff.
The bodyshop that did my paint only uses Sikkens also. They had the car for
3 weeks, but most of that was dent repair and rust removal. The whole paint
process took maybe 1 day to shoot and 2 days to sit and cure (even though it
was baked at 185 degrees for several hours after shooting) and 2 days to
wetsand, buff, and polish. They wanted to wait awhile after the bake to make
sure it was completely cool and hard enough to start rubbing on. They were
really careful and took their time, even when it wasn't necessary.
They specialize in Porsche restoration so they will only use the best, even
for the morons who paint their $2400 Porsche 914 Targa's with a $12000 paint
job. Sheesh, the customer is always right. Here's a link...
