What happens if F250 is Driven with Speedo Disconnected
Hi,
I'm deciding whether to buy a F250 1995. I have run a carfax...and the
total reported mileage checks out...at 65k.
I suspect that the truck has higher miles than that.
My question: Could the former owner have disconnected the Speedo/Odometer
for extended periods?
I have been told by the dealer that this would be impossible...because the
engine's computer would shut down or go into "limp mode" if it didn't
receive an appropriate signal indicating road speed.
True??
Thanks, Chuck
