The subpar salesman certainly didn't help, but ultimately the question of the day was: WHY DIDN'T FORD PUT THE QUALITY OF THE MILAN INTERIOR IN THE FUSION? The Milan's interior certainly didn't come out of a Lexus, but it's noticably nicer and the car is relatively the same price as the Fusion. Ford needs to improve the interior (and overall) quality of the Fusion if it plans to compete with the Accord and Camry.
Our Midnight Escape came with Nudo leather, which is used in Lincolns and Ford trucks...even if it added a couple hundred dollars to each Fusion, it still has a comparitive price advantage and would have a decent leather interior to compete with the imports.
