I'd say you should take it out, james from sydney comp said when you weld on braces you need to counterbend the housing, that way when you weld on the brace and it shrinks back it should be close to straight again, as its hard to straighten the housing once its braced, he also said that the braces are not required 95% of the time, but I'd still fit one anyway, can't hurt.
