There's a mob in Perth called Left Nut Hot Rods (08 92091928). Unsure of the price, but they'll build you a strong, complete sheetmetal housing to suit your needs for around $400 I think. I know a guy who had them make him a housing with the tubes from a 28 spline borgie. He can use axles from an ED falcon with a 9 inch centre. Tricky.
