VIN gives for orig. engine type;
Position #8 is the Engine Identification
N = V-8 5.0L
H = 5.8
To confirm, some measuremts can be done; some Links are in my web site under Engine; can ck deck height, etc.
5.0 intake manifold were more SQed off than the rounded edges on 5.8s
