2000 F-150 short bed extended cab. The brakes stick after releasing parking brake. After driving awhile or wiggling the cables at the hubs it will release. Shop did rear nrakes 6 mos ago, but still does it and is getting worse. Over the winter the freeze on cold nights. Friend has 1999, does the samd thing, as did my 1991 F-150. Brake shop said it is common on these, fix is to replace cables. Dealer said he never heard of it. Any help?

Either the cables are siezed or the lever mechanism behind the rotors are siezed.

Get the rear up in the air and remove the rear wheels. Look under the frame and locate the cables. Give them a good, hard pull while having an assistant watch the mechanism. You will know if the cables are siezed then.
