Hello to all,
I am a NooBee to your forum. I did perform a search relating to my new thread and found a few topics that related but still no real answer.

Here goes: I have an 06 F150 Supercrew 4x4 5.4. When I reached 1762 miles the truck started to miss and back fire when accelerating. Went to dealer and they keep it four days. I picked it up and when leaving dealership(1/2 mile away I noticed the same problem)I accelerated from a stop light and my truck started missing and as the rpm's got higher it started back firing.... NO change from when I took it in. I turned around and took it back. This time they keep my truck five days. I went to pick it up and expressed my concerns... I was told it is fixed, and was told a service adviser actually drove it home and back the next day to ensure there no were NO problems. I left the dealership... and accelerated and @ 2500 rpms the truck started missing(No back firing this time)I continued to drive my truck home and the missing continued. I called the dealership(47 miles from my residence) and explained to them that the truck is better(no back firing) but still misses when accelerating and acutally seems to bog down when I accelerate. I took the truck back(1878 miles) the dealer keep it three days. I was told they changed ALL plugs and Coil packs per FORD TSB. I picked it up... and the same crap!! Still missing under acceleration. I called the dealer back and was told to "run a few tanks of fuel through it" I now have 3342 miles on it and it is still missing under lite acceleration and seems to be bogging down... also my fuel mileage has drop to 12.8 as shown on the digital gauge from a high of 15.1, The odd thing is sometimes the truck will run great! but not for very long maybe a mile or so then back to missing and sluggish. It never runs good consistently. I called the dealer and it is going back Monday 9/4/06. I apologize for being long winded...Any and ALL replies are welcome. PLEASE HELP. A loyal FORD guy.
