hi. all of a sudden when i turned on my 2002 Taurus my dashboard lights would not work. all the gauges worked fine and other electrical components of the car worked fine. Lights on the radio and climate controls worked fine too. I tried to switch car on and off several times with no luck. After driving for about 20 minutes lights came back on. Any suggestions? Thanks.
also, forgot to say that while the dash lights were out, the 2 turning signal lights stayed on the whole time and other lights would come on when activated (cruise control , high beams, etc.)

Plato, I have the same problem. It only occurs when the temperature drops under 45 - 50. The dash lights come back on when the car warms up. Please let me know if you find out what the fix is.
Hi. I took it to the dealer and they said the cluster needs to be replaced. They did not take the dash apart but said they ran some tests.
after that night it did not do it again, but again I did not take the car out at night again and in the morning I did not turn the lights on. I'll try tomorrow.
I'll keep you updated, hopefully we'll get to the bottom of it.
