Gotcha.
That's the fuel pump shutoff switch. It turns off the fuel pump in the event of a rear end collision.
Open the trunk and stand by the left tail light. Inside the trunk, pull the trim panel away from the tail light area and you'll see a black box about half the size of a pack of cigarettes in front of the tail light. You reset the switch by pushing the red button on the top of the box.
If you have the owner's manual for your car, this is detailed on page 57.
