I have a 94 explorer. I had a front end hum that I finally tracked down to a trashed bearing. I replaced the bearing, the noise went away. A few months and few thousand miles later the noise was back. I checked and the new bearing was trashed. I chalked it up to improper torque and replaced them. Again the noise disappeared and again a few months later it's back. Any ideas? thanks

had one do that, a nissan. the manual had the torqe but failed to tell me to reloosen it and retighten to a lighter torque. 3 sets of bearings later and found out the trouble.never hurts to check different manuals.may not be why yours is doing this but it's a thought.Tom
