i would love to know the answer if you have heard. I just had mine replaced today. My vehicle went haywire on me and was going 90 klm per hour without touching the gas. Shook me up lots. They wouldn't give any reasons why this happened but it seems to be a common problem with the Ford Escapes from what i have read. I hope the replacement one is an improved version.
