Is it just smooth sluggish or missing, when jump on it?. If missing change plugs , check ya leads cap and rotor. I am guessing it is injected, if smooth but flat at WOT could be Air flow meter, or fuel problem. Check or change Air and fuel filters if look like old ones. This sort of stuff should be changed every 40k religously.
