Out of curiosity, how strong are the torque converters and transmissions on the Escape ?
I have heard of Escape transmissions going after 3-4 years - especially if the car has been used to alot to tow.
Whats the best way of preserving these transmissions (ie.. to make them last) ?
I know the maintenance manual recommends having the trans fluid changed every 40 - 50kms....
