Tim Martel Registered User Join Date: Mar 2007 Posts: 4	backfiring I have a 1980 ltd with a 5.8 liter and I am having problems with backfiring. I bought new spark plugs and also made sure that the intake manifold and carb are tight so I don't think it's a vacuum leak. It seems to almost backfire a little more with the new plugs, but then when i've been driving for a while it stops backfiring.
