Not to dog the Land Rover they are very capable vehicles. However as far as reliability nothing quite lives up to the toyota. It may not be as quiet or ride as smooth but they are just damn near impossible to kill. I accidently ran mine for over a month with no oil. OOPS. Don't try this at home kids. I had my oil changed before a trip and the the mechanic forgot to put oil filter on! I put on a filter filled the oil and still going strong. The vehicle had 140,000 on it at the time and now has 227,000. This is my eighth Toy. I happened to be at this site because I am replacing an engine on a Ford Expolorer for a friend of mine and had some questions. I was browsing and saw your post.
