I'd get a transmission service and transfer case service done. While the covers are off the tech should be able to check for any visible damage of any chains/belts. If you can replace your own bearings your ahead of the game. An easy way to check for a bad bearing is to lift the selected wheel off the ground and rock it toward you with one hand on top and one on the bottom to check for any play.
