If you tow, use full synthetic 75W90. Some synthetic oils come with anti-slip additive in them already, even if you don't have the limited slip diff it won't hurt it none. If the cover has a bottom and a side hole you shouldn't have to remove the cover. I'd remove the cover every second oil change just to clean the magnet and to inspect the gears.
