Listen for the fuel pump. To do that just turn the key to 'on' and don't start the vehicle. Do keep the window down or the door open of course. I've never heard of a fuel filter throwing a code, let alone going from clear to clogged in four days. As my previous post mentioned; Get the shop to check your fuel line pressure and they can narrow it down after that.
