Generally it's 1/6 total capacity. Each vehicle is different, even models that are the same. Best way to find out if you want to drive it til it runs on fumes is fill it up as soon as the light comes on, then subtract what you put in the tank from the total capacity, and you'll have your answer. The general rule that I've found from my vehicles (one dodge, one ford and one GM) is that a 50L tank size equals out to about 7L of reserve capacity when the light comes on. Keep in mind that hilly terrain won't give you an accurate reading on this.
