Typically the heater cores are relatively cheap, but on the old Fox bodies the entire dash has to come off. I've never changed one on the SN body styles but since the platforms are the same, the method may be the same. It's not a really HARD job, it just take FOREVER to get all the bolts and screws.

Thats true Alajones is right.Try check Coolant level is normal. Pressure tests.I have a quick search about this problem in
ford parts news and told me to replace the overflow cap / which also acts like the radiator cap. The seal could be seaping causing vapors to escape.
