confused Re: Super Duty plugs PITA

for some reason the picture function won't upload....anyway, as advertised I twisted off the first plug in the head. I tweaked on the rest, on the passenger side since I have everything layed open and exposed, but chickened out on trying to remove any more. I ordered and got the $229 tool, got the broken one extracted and replaced as directed by the tool manufacturer. Put it back together, so now I have one new plug and 7 old ones. I talked to the local dealer and a tech said he wrecked all 8 plugs once, and he pulled the intake manifold off instead of the heads to get at them.

I'm procrastinating right now, I won't let the dealer do it for the amount they will charge. When I return to the problem, I'll have to pull the heads to do a descent job of this. As hard as these are to get at, I don't see repeating what I did on the easy one working on the rest in the back of the heads.
