I'm new to this forum and am glad to of just joined it. It looks like there is some great information on this site.
Anyway...I currently own an '01 GMC 1500 Reg. Cab 8' Box w/ a
5.3L V8. I am looking at buying an '03 F350 XLT Reg Cab 8' Box w/ a
5.4L V8 Triton in it. I was wondering what you guys opinions are on the motor and if its
strong enough for the heavy weight Superduty??? Is it a motor that I can drive around with (empty) and get somewhere in a hurry with some sweet acceleration and speed? I own a 5.3 and that motor is alright and it gets up and goes...a pretty fast motor imo. I just don't want to get this 5.4 and have it super doggy...and not be able to pull my snowmobile trailer or rip around town.
My buddies tell me the 5.4 is too small for the Superduty and its almost like it can't pull its own weight.
