To build a Boss 302 Replica engine... You need different heads to start.
Boss Heads are completely a different breed than the normal 302.
It also depends on your performance requirements.
To be honest a Real Boss 302 was only 290 Horsepower. It was there ability to rev extrememly fast that made then the road course killer they were. They operated in the higher rpm range.
But if you would like a fake Boss 302 you can find several websites that tell how they made theirs.
Boss 302 are in the simlpe terms... is a 302 with a beefy bottom end, Screw in freeze plugs and modified 351 4bbl Cleveland heads, large 4 bbl carb. plus high compression. Several other little things also, 4 bolt main and such.
