Fiesta fan belt squeak
i have a 2000 mk5 ford fiesta which has an extremely irritating squeaking fan belt .... the fan belt only sqeaks when the engine is started from cold ... and will continue to sqeak until the engine comes up to temperature it is then fine.... i know fan belts can be tightened i have taken it to a garage to have this done however they have told me the belt is fine because it has a self adjusting belt and doesnt need to be tightened .... however i have noticed over the past weeks the squeak is becoming louder and lasts for a longer amount of time .... anyone got any ideas
