Sorry for my very late "Thank you!"
Really, it's appreciated. We ran into about 40 things to do before I left CA a day and a half later and she still hasn't done anything with it but to rig it closed. I wish we'd just have taken care of it while I was there.
It really looked like everything else was in perfect shape- but no motor sound whatsoever.
I'll send your instructions to her and see what she thinks- (I know she can do it, but the trouble is convincing her she can...) It actually did happen to her other window, as well, (like you said) several months ago. I won't tell you how much she paid to get it fixed... :/
Anyway,
thanks again for your help!!
