Had a similar situation on my 97 F150 XLT, and kinda blew it off, then the headlights, wipers, dash lights, and I can't remember what else failed.....ended up being a multi-function switch, I wussed out and went to the dealer to get it fixed, but it should be called out in the manuals. Tank
