Get someone to help you with this: One person pulls the hood latch lever in the cab and holds it open, the other carefully pry's up the hood (flat head screwdriver works great), just be careful of the paint of course. Knocking hard on it will not help...I know!
OK. From what I can tell, the cable runs through the LF fender well. Take out the LF fender splash shield, find the cable and carefully cut the sheathing of the cable only. Cut off enough sheathing to be able to grasp the cable tightly with a pair of needle nose pliers and pull the cable towards the back of the car. Hood should pop.
