Accident with 94 Mustang GT

Hello I am new to the forum.
I was involved in an accident this weekend. I was at a stop sign attempting to make a left hand turn across 3 lanes and into the 4th lane of traffic. I pulled out and realized that I could not make the turn so I stopped before crossing the yellow line. So now I blocking 2 lanes of traffic. However those 2 lanes had a red light a good distance away so I felt they would be able to see me stuck there if I was still stuck there when the light turned green.

When the light turned green a car in the right lane came toward me and stopped without slamming his brakes etc, I did not see a car in the other lane, I looked back to the right saw that I could go then looked forward and a mustang GT hit my bumper on the driver's side ripped it back and off and kept on going. She scrapped off the front of my car and continued to drive

The driver of the mustang had to cross the double yellow lines in her attempt to get around me. So if someone was coming in that lane she would have hit them head on. If I was farther into the turn we would have hit head on since shes now on the wrong side of the road.

The police charged me with failure to yield right of way and I have to go to court, enter a plea and tell my story. The driver that successfully stopped said the mustang was behind her in the other lane - which gives her more time to be able to stop.

Is there a way to find out the braking distance of a 94 Mustang GT going 35mph? I am going to bring up the fact the she had enough time to stop. She can't say she didn't see me, she chose to go around and miss-judged her attempt to get around me

Also my airbags will deploy once my car hits 9mph and makes impact. My airbags did not go off and I did not push into her as she was able to keep going up the road

Overall I am lucky because if she hadn't tried to go around she would have hit my drivers side door - also she is lucky because going over double yellow lines to get around a car is not always the best choice
