Re: AC Sensor

AC Sensor

Sorry if this has been beaten to death but, I have a friend with a bad AC sensor (so we think). Is there an easy fix; or do we have to get to a shop and have them drain the freon, replace the seonsor, and put new freon in?

Thanks in advance.

If you're talking about the low pressure switch in the reciever - dryer the the answer is yes, you will need to recharge the system. If it is R12 you'll have to go to a shop, if it is 134a refrigerant, you can do this yourself, just don't overfill it, liquids don't compress to well. If you've never done this before, it's best to take it to the shop and watch.....

Good luck........ Chongo
