Part-time fuel guage
I have a 2002 Explorer Eddie Bauer (Trade name "Exploder") that has started to have an intermittent fuel guage. All other guages are fine, but the fuel guage will drop to the bottom of its range and then after a few minutes start reading again. The "miles to empty" on the diagnostic center continues to read even when the guage cuts out. Has anyone else had this happen? Any thoughts? My first guess is loose connection or sending unit issue. Yet ANOTHER problem to add to the list! '98 Explorer has been great! '02 Explorer not so much!!!
