2005 Ford escape Radiator fan/battery drain issues
So I have had my ford since the end of 05. I bought it new and i had no problems untill about last year. Sometimes I'll wake up and goto my car and my battery is completely drained. I took it to the dealership in california and changed the battery. I had no problems since then untill about 4 months ago. The battery would be dead in the morning. I started to notice that around 10 pm after driving, my radiator fan would kick on and wouldnt turn off even after i parked the car and went in. The system runs cool but the fan just runs until it kills the battery.
when you run power through the car (without turning it on, by hooking up the battery to prep for a jump start) the fan kicks on and shows the problem immediately
I've gotten it towed to ford here in HI and everytime i tell them to check the fan but running power through the vehicle. but they immediately change the battery and then tell me theres no problem with the fan, and that its just a dead battery. I have complained to ford customer service and they were absolutely no help. the area service manager thinks everything is grand if you talk in a happy voice and acting like you care. I told her that fixing the symptom and not the problem, and then acting like i was an idiot was innapropriate. ESPECIALLY since it has happened about 8 times
has anyone had any problems with their radiator fans and batteries?
