I'd get the relay for the electric fan replaced! The dealer shouldn't have too much of a problem solving that especially if the fan turns on without the vehicle running and engine cold. If there's another Ford dealer nearby get them to diagnose it. If you have paperwork on the first time this problem occurred tell it to the service manager as it may have fallen under your warranty as you mentioned you have an 05!
