Help with a inline 6 is needed please backfires alot and wont start doesnt have fire on Number1 plug and the distributor was restabed what now?also i ran fuel pump to ignition fuse panel so when truck is on the pump is running non stop is this good? its a 1986 truck with a 1995 motor i was told im not sure it is though.
im looking for a complete break down of the motor to look at online not to buy. truck to if it can be found the motor had fuel injection and someone put a 1 barrel carb on it. it was running but after fooling with the timing it stoped running and backfires like its gona blowup.the guy doesnt want to spend much money on the piece of junk. cap, rotor, plugs, fuel pump all new.Also it looks like someone ripped the carborator apart i went get one in a junk yard but the truck does the same thing with that one on it to so i dont know if the carborators are working i know one of them is getting to much gas but im not a carb specialist.
