Are you sure you have the distributor correctly aligned? If it is off just a tooth or two you might get it to start by turning the distributor while cranking the motor. If you don't have a remote starter you will need someone to turn the ignition while you turn the distributor. Otherwise you will need to find and align timing marks, get #1 cyl at TDC and then look at the rotor to see that it is pointing at #1 position on the distributor cap. Then check for fire at #1 sparkplug.
