Hello all,
Got a 2001 Mustang GT, and there's a nice whine coming from the engine, increasing and decreasing with acceleration/deceleration. Took it to 2 dealerships, and both said to change the ps fluid, but one also said to change the idler pulley and tensioner assembly. I had the fluid changed, it was brown. But I am wondering about changing the idler and tensioner. How do parts like that go bad, I mean what would be wrong with them that would cause the squealing?
