Re: 5.4 3v engine loosing power at low revs
A tapping noise can be classified as engine knock. Try running a higher octane fuel and see if performance returns in that rpm band you specified. Email Ford's office (or check online) and see if there are any updated software programs for either engine or transmission software that might help solve your problem.
