Sterling Six, sorry for the late reply – I have been a little under the weather lately (sour throat).
I misremembered about the manual. It was our previous Honda Accord that had the procedure in its manual on how to turn off that pesky little "Your car needs service" lamp.
The Ford light has been on twice and off twice, so it is obviously not the "Your car needs service" reason, but an indication that my blinker arm is faulty.
Thank you, anyway, for the methods to turn off the light, should it not turn itself off sometimes in the future.
