I am having the same problem with my 87 turbo coupe its idle screw is all the way down and it idles at like 1000 rpm but its because of another problem somewhere i havent figred that out. I think most cars idle around 800 rpm if your car is shaking and wants to die like mine was ide suggest making it idle a turn or so above the level that it stops shaking.
