Thanks for your help, i have a pretty good running car now. It wasnt the regulator, it was a clogged fuel filter. All that trouble over a 4$ part. lol.
The motor mounts were completely demolished. The motor was moving up and down about 3" There was no rubber left, all that was left was metal.
I can now  without worry 
Now....... time for the performance parts
