There are a couple of short answers that come to mind:
1) Take it to a pro. Abandoning a vehicle can do more damage than wrecking it, and carbs are VERY delicate, so it's probably going to take a LOT of skill & patience to get it right.
2) Buy a reman carb, slap it on, & HOPE they've set it up perfectly for your truck (which isn't likely). But you'll probably still end up letting a pro finish the job.
3) Sell it to someone who can handle fixing it & buy an EFI. They're MUCH easier to maintain, get better mileage, & are more reliable.
The long answer is: buy the oldest Haynes manual you can get, read it, buy some tools, & start learning. But it'll probably take several months & cost more than double any of the above options.
