Question Maintenance on a "Closed Case" Transmission

Hello everyone! I have read many posts on this site and found it to be very helpful. I actually have a question of my own and decided to register and post for the very first time.

I have a dilemma with my 2006 Ford Mustang v6 (automatic) in regards to maintaining the transmission. So far I have kept up with the maintenance schedule as far as oil changes, fuel filter replacements and cabin air filter replacements, tire rotation etc. I have not done any major maintenance on the vehicle yet, such as flushing out the transmission fluid.

I requested a transmission flush at 30,000 miles because my dad whos more of an "old school" ford type of guy recommended it. The dealership mechanic said that a flush was not necessary because I have a "Closed Case" transmission with no dipping stick. He said that these types of transmissions are meant to last the life time of the car and does not require maintenance until it reaches a 100,000 miles. My car is now creeping up close to 50,000 and I called another dealership for a second opinion. Surprisingly they recommend that I should flush out my transmission fluid at 50,000 because the fluid can get dirty through the initial break in period.

I am a little confused as to what I should do. I do not see "flushing out the transmission fluid" on my maintenance schedule at all. I do see the following at the 30,000 mile mark:

Change automatic transaxle fluid on all vehicles
equipped with 4F50N or 4F27E. Inspect
automatic transmission/transaxle fluid level on
all other vehicles, if equipped with
dipstick. Consult your dealer for your particular
requirements.

I would like some opinions as to what I should do? Should I flush my transmission at 50,000? Is there any harm in doing so? I would hate to spend about $140 after tax and do some damage to my tranny.
