Bought the van last year, runs good. Heater was pushing heat out of the defrost, and it heated well. Well we took it to the place that I have been going too for about 15 years, and they got the heater part in. come to find out the part had been stripped. Nice. so they had this brilliant idea to prop the part open, (That when you switch the knob from heat to cold) so that we get heat all the time. (gut told me no, my husband was there at the shop)
they broke the part, So that now we have NO heat, and they WONT fix it. (they lost my business) So now were trying to fix it.
How in the heck can we do it on our own, without having to take it somewhere and pay about 1200$ for it to be fixed? I know that the dash has to be taken out. Or find the part they broke and put that in, till we can get under the dash to fix the heater?
Thanks for any help.
