Field of dreams
Fans of the Blue Oval won't know which way to look if they turn up this Sunday to the 26th annual Ford Day at Peter Warren Ford on the Hume Hwy at Warwick Farm.
Organisers estimate about 20,000 will look at a 600-plus field of cars, worth millions of dollars, to be on display, covering a broad range of Ford marques including Thunderbirds, Galaxies, Model Ts, Fairlanes and old Capris.
Ford V8 Supercar drivers Glenn Seton, Steven Johnston, Simon Wills and Dean Canto will be there from 11am until 2pm to sign autographs and chat to fans.
Highlights include the Ford Xplod, the Hillier Autotek Arrows 2 Door Coupe, an XR8 250kW Pursuit Ute and Ford's dual-cab R5 concept vehicle. Anyone interested in displaying their own example of the Ford breed will be able to do so by paying $10, although some conditions will apply.
