Not a bad idea to do this. I put Superlows all round and 82 series Konis in the back of the XR6, as the rear shocks were stuffed. The car used to wallow around at the front. Today I put Koni 82 series shocks in the front to suit the lowered springs and it is just a different car. It doesn't bounce three times after it hits bumps anymore, and the understeer is all but gone!

I know it's extra money, but well worth it. If Konis are too dear (mine were $200 per corner, plus fitting) Monroe Gas are a good replacement (I think Tickfords are Monroe anyway).

Not sure what you mean by your reference to the bushes?
